WORLD FAMOUS: Bob Katter’s hat makes front page of New York Times website

image Popular country independent Bob Katter is having a Crocodile Dundee style appeal in US news reports attempting to make sense of what’s going in Australia right now. The NY Times analysis of the situation is pretty good, recalling Katter’s comparison of the Coalition with snakes and Tony Windsor’s declaration that he beat off “two cancers” (lung cancer and the National party) in the 1990s when he gave up smoking and defeated the Nats in their stronghold as an independent.
